Special Session: surface science characterization for energy, bio-, and castalysis nanomaterials Surface and interface properties of the materials are of vital importance for the design of functional materials for energy, bio-, and catalysis applications. This session aims at exploring the application and development of various powerful surface science tools (i.e., XPS, TEM, AFM, STM) in the aforementioned fundamental research topics. The invited leading researchers with interdisciplinary background in physics, chemistry and material science will present their recent achievements from various prospective. The workshop also aims to provide a platform for researchers to communicate and collaborate.
